Venus Centre (Arabic: مركز الزهرة) is an Arabic dubbing company. The headquarters of the company is located in the Syrian capital, Damascus. Its dubbed shows usually air on Spacetoon, but have also aired on various regional TV channels across the Arab world, like Ajyal TV and Al Aoula, and (in a few cases) sometimes even on Cartoon Network Arabic.
Venus dubs Japanese anime, along with American and European cartoons, into Modern Standard Arabic. Many (but not all) of their Arabic dubs also completely change the opening and closing credits themes, though this is not always the case.
Similar to many Persian dubs, Venus’ Arabic dubs are often very heavily censored, including visual animation changes, inexplicable dialogue changes, and removal/replacement of content. This is done to specifically appease the socially conservative and often deeply religious societies of Arab countries, who would often object to such material in the first place.
