Phineas and Ferb is an American animated musical comedy science fiction action-adventure television series created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh for Disney Channel and Disney XD. Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series was originally broadcast as a one-episode preview on August 17, 2007, and again previewed on September 28, 2007. The series officially premiered on February 1, 2008, on Disney Channel. New episodes aired on both Disney Channel and Disney XD in the United States, and the series concluded its initial run on Disney XD with the release of "The O.W.C.A. Files" special on November 16, 2015.

In January 2023, the series was renewed for two more 20-episode seasons, for a total of 40 additional episodes.
