Clube Winx is one of two European Portuguese dubs of Winx Club.

This dub began with the premiere of season 4 on SIC and SIC K on January 4, 2010.

Due to the series' revival in 2011, the dub was moved to Nickelodeon, which premiered the TV specials on every Sunday of December 2011. Season 3 premiered on January 9, 2012. The previously produced and aired dub of season 4 premiered on April 12, 2012. Reruns of both seasons lasted until the premiere of season 5 on July 31, 2012. Season 6 began to be broadcast on June 9, 2014. The 7th and final season broadcasted by Nickelodeon premiered on December 10, 2015.

For a few years, the season 1 dub by Nacional Filmes used to be associated with this dub due to the Official YouTube channel hosting it for the episodes of that season, however, in December 2020, that dub was replaced by this one when seasons 1-2 were released on Rakuten TV, also a partial re-dub of season 3 was added to Prime Video and released on the Official YouTube channel alongside the first two seasons.

In 2021, the series returned to broadcast, after several years, on SIC K with the premiere of season 8 on April 5th. From 2022 until now all seasons have been rebroadcast.

Notes[]

  • In this reality, the truly second dub does not exist, only the Nacional Filmes dub exists alongside this one.
  • This dub mainly uses the Italian version as a base, however, on seasons 5-7 the Atlas Oceanic's English scripts were used alongside the Italian ones.
    • The same thing happens for songs but is throughout all seasons, as there are songs with mixed translations, or based on a single version.
    • Only in the specials was the Atlas Oceanic's English version followed faithfully with the exception of the songs, which also have a mixed base.
  • The first airings of season 3 on Nickelodeon had the original openings and transformations left instrumental while insert songs were left in English.
    • This was the version hosted on the official YouTube channel until it was replaced by the re-dub in 2020.
    • In all reruns from 2013 onwards on Nickelodeon, the opening was replaced with the Nickelodeon US theme song "Winx, You're Magic Now". The same applied to the ending credits, with "If You're a Winx" being replaced with the Nickelodeon version of "Superheroes" at the same time. The replacement theme songs still used the dubbed vocals from the soundtrack.
      • The same did not happen with season 4 as it was dubbed in the pre-Nickelodeon era, therefore, its broadcast was unchanged.
  • In all broadcasts on SIC K and streaming, season 3 received a partial re-dub where all the songs are dubbed.
    • The vocals from the soundtrack versions were used in most of the songs, with the exception of the ending, the insert songs "I Won't Ask for More" and "I'm Crazy for You" and the transformations.
      • Seasons 1-2 dub also reused the already dubbed songs from the soundtrack while dubbing others.
      • Full and/or clean versions of these songs were added to major digital music platforms in late-2024 and to the official YouTube channel on January 13, 2025 alongside the remaining soundtrack.
  • The version broadcast on SIC K and available on YouTube used localised text throughout all seasons, which includes credits and title cards.
    • On Nickelodeon and streaming platforms, the footage was not localized.
  • Between 2008 and 2012, soundtrack albums with many songs from seasons 1-5 and the 1st movie were released in Portugal.
    • Some songs were only released later, which meant they were left out of these physical releases, despite being very complete when compared to other international soundtracks.
    • The soundtracks of the other seasons, despite being produced side by side with the dub, were only released on the main digital music platforms in late-2024 and on the official YouTube channel on January 13, 2025.
  • All the songs sung by Filipa Batista, Maria Sampaio e Mafalda Teixeira and Tânia Tavares were the ones recorded on Blim Records studio.
    • However, as Mafalda Teixeira also participated in the dub, she recorded several songs outside of this studio.
  • Alongside the German and Dutch dubs, Season 4 Enchantix was dubbed, but by reusing the vocals from the Karaoke version of the soundtrack.
    • Similarly, alongside the Finnish and Norwegian dubs, the Sophix transformation was also dubbed.
  • During the Tynix transformation, powerlines were added when they were not present in the original.

Cast[]

  • Sandra de Castro and Sérgio Calvinho were the only members of the Nacional Filmes cast who returned to voice their main characters, Stella and Sky, respectively.
    • Bárbara Lourenço and Carlos Macedo also returned but not to the main roles they took previously.
  • Ana Guiomar reprised her role as Stella in the TV specials as she did in all films.
    • Kiara Timas also reprised her role as Aisha in the TV specials but she only voiced her in the 1st film.
  • Mafalda Teixeira is the only one out of the three singers from the soundtrack album who also participates in the series' dub.
  • Alexandra Diogo was replaced by Mónica Chaby in all her roles after she went inactive on dubbing after 2015.
  • Sara Brás took over all of Sónia Neves' roles after her death in 2016.

Translations[]

  • Some transformations had their names translated into Portuguese:
    • Enchantix was translated as "Encantix".
    • Believix was translated as "Acreditix".
      • The Speedix wings were translated as "Velocix".
      • The Tracix wings were translated as "Rastix".
      • Lovix was translated as "Amorix".
    • Mythix was just adapted to "Mitix" for better pronunciation.
    • Butterflix was translated as "Borbolix".
    • Tynix was translated as "Minix".
  • Chatta’s name was adapted to "Charla" as it could be interpreted as "chata", which is the feminine of boring or annoying in Portuguese.

Errors[]

  • In the first broadcast of ep. 502, Stella’s powerline is "Fada do Sol Brilhante", a direct translation from the original, however, in any other episode the powerline "Fada do Sol e da Lua" (Fairy of the Sun and the Moon) is used.
    • This error was corrected in later reruns of the episode.
  • In episode 602, the Sirenix transformation features the 2nd chorus when it should be the 1st one.
  • In episode 609, in the Bloomix transformation, the verse acapella is placed where the chorus should be.
  • In episode 612, Stella's Bloomix transformation is left instrumental.
  • In episode 622, in the Mythix transformation, the last line was edited incorrectly.
  • In episode 822, the Cosmix song is left instrumental despite being dubbed in every other episode.
